Finally Entering into the professional scene, I have the opportunity to work in Singapore's pioneering galleries that specialises in Chinese and Southeast Asian art. Here I am able to apply all my skills and knowledge, taking up multiple job roles.

Marketing Intern & Artist at Singapore Lyric Opera`

As part of my academics, I was required to take an internship, which I chose Singapore lyric Opera. I had a dual role, I took on an administrative role, and an artist role, which helped me to see both worlds of an arts organisation.

Volunteer at SGIFF

Volunteering at the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) was an exhilarating opportunity to immerse myself in the vibrant world of cinema while contributing to the seamless execution of a renowned cultural event. As a volunteer, I played a pivotal role in the operations of the festival, from assisting with venue setup and ticketing to facilitating guest arrivals and managing audience engagements. Guided by a passion for film and a dedication to excellence, I embraced each task with enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of the festival ran smoothly. Whether liaising with filmmakers, coordinating screenings, or providing logistical support, I thrived in the fast-paced environment, gaining invaluable insights into the inner workings of a world-class film festival. Through my volunteer experience at SGIFF, I not only forged meaningful connections within the film community but also deepened my appreciation for the transformative power of cinema in uniting diverse audiences and sparking meaningful conversations.

Volunteer at the second Breakfast Company

Volunteering with The Breakfast Company for their production, "The Hawker Centre," was a delightful immersion into the world of theatrical craftsmanship and community engagement. As a volunteer, I was entrusted with a myriad of tasks aimed at bringing the play to life. One of the most exciting aspects of my involvement was helping transform the art space into an authentic hawker theatre experience. Drawing inspiration from traditional hawker centres, I collaborated with fellow volunteers to recreate the bustling ambiance, complete with makeshift stalls, and aromatic scents evoking the spirit of Singapore's culinary heritage. Through meticulous attention to detail and a shared passion for immersive storytelling, we succeeded in transporting audiences to a world where drama and dining intertwine, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.


Volunteer at Art:DIS

Volunteering at ART:DIS, an organization dedicated to working with individuals with special needs, has been a profoundly enriching experience during my time at LaSalle. Immersed in their programs, I found myself engaged in various activities tailored to the unique needs of each participant. From assisting in art therapy sessions to facilitating inclusive art workshops, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of creativity in fostering self-expression and personal growth. Working closely with individuals with special needs has honed my ability to communicate effectively, adapt to diverse learning styles, and provide empathetic support. Whether it's guiding participants through artistic exercises or simply being a source of encouragement and companionship, I've discovered the immense joy that comes from making a positive difference in the lives of others. My volunteer experience at ART:DIS has not only deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with special needs but has also reinforced my commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility within the arts community.
